This position is a 1-1 position for consumers who display social and emotional behaviors in the home/community.
We are looking to hire staff who are "on-call" for emergency services.
Currently we are looking for employees who are team players, resourceful, & who demonstrate great verbal & written communication skills.
Basic Duties:
As a 1-1 Aid staff are responsible for providing therapeutic behavioral interventions and replacement skill-building strategies for consumers.
1-1 Aid will partner with the consumer and/or family inter-agencies, and DOTR clinical team to achieve and maintain the consumers well being.
You're responsible for the submission of direct contact progress notes and other required documentation as needed.
Responsibilities
Provide therapeutic behavioral interventions and replacement skill-building strategies to consumers
Work with consumers and families to achieve and maintain their safety
Provide 1-on-1 behavior intervention for consumers based on the consumer’s needs and display of behaviors
Document consumer services in accordance with the agency standards.
Conduct visits to homes and or other service providers in order to help the consumer
Ensure accuracy in work and that all deadline expectations are met
Interface with the Department of Children and Family Services, Department of Mental Health, court systems, schools, law enforcement, health care providers, and other community agencies
Ensure active participation in administrative and clinical supervision
Follow up with Supervisor in a timely manner regarding significant changes in the behaviors daily life
Demonstrate ownership of work responsibilities by adhering to program policies
Required education:
Minimum of a high school diploma with 2 years of experience working with mentally & emotionally disturbed youth & adults
OR
Bachelor, Master's degree (Human Service, Social Work, Psychology) with at least 30 hours, or their equivalent, of college credit towards a bachelor's degree in a health-related field.
Basic Requirements:
1 year of work experience mental health setting
Full background check: staff must pass a full cps, state & federal criminal background check.
Transportation: Staff must possess a valid driver's license & maintain a clean driving record.
The position requires the use of a personal vehicle and/or public transportation.
Other Duties & Responsibilities:
This is a 1-on-1 position with consumers & families
Conducting home visits, (Management of symptoms (when applicable))
Submission of daily session notes post every 48 hours
