Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of the RN, assist in care planning and treatments for residents and consults with other nursing staff as appropriate with applying knowledge and resources
Demonstrate basic knowledge and skills required to care for the resident population on an assigned unit
Review resident medical records to ensure nursing practice provided is within State and Federal guidelines
Document care provided and report changes in resident status to shift supervisor
Review all referrals for consultation, treatment or resolution of problems are valid and applicable to the documented nurse plans
Seeks opportunities for professional growth and expansion of responsibilities to maintain competency levels
Set and implement goals and policies consistent with the philosophy and purpose of FutureCare’s nursing facility
Qualifications:
Must hold an active LPN license issued in the state of Maryland
1 year of nursing experience preferred
Previous experience caring for residents in an acute or long-term health care facility a plus
Team player with strong work ethic and a willingness to assist where needed
Must possess a current CPR license
Ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal communication with all personnel, residents, and families
