Experience in utilities, surveying, and/or civil engineering drafting is preferred.
The ideal candidate is experienced in using both AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation.

Required minimum education:
* High school or equivalent
Required minimum experience:
* 1 year of experience using Civil 3D, Carlson, or MicroStation
Preferred experience:
* 1 year of experience in civil engineering, utility location, or land surveying
* Processing field survey data in Civil 3D and/or MicroStation
* Formal CAD training is a plus.
Education or training may count towards your experience.
* Experience with MDOT SHA
* Reading and interpreting underground utility plans
* Reading, analyzing, and interpreting field-run survey data
* Developing topographic surveys
Basic responsibilities:
* Work as a responsible member of a team; identify and work through issues independently and collaboratively
* Perform utility and survey records research for new and ongoing projects
* Process, interpret, and finalize field run survey data
* Maintain digital and paper records for engineering and survey projects
* Collaborate with project managers and group leaders on projects
* Be detail-oriented
* Complete CAD drawing products as assigned
* Be flexible to accommodate deadlines
* Be able to work overtime
