Job Description:
We are seeking a quick learning, enthusiastic, team-oriented, and experienced Paralegal to support the Legal and Contracts team at EA Engineering and manage various legal, compliance, and corporate administrative tasks.
The ideal Paralegal candidate will possess a robust combination of legal knowledge, administrative skills, technical proficiency, desire for growth, and strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including those with state, local, and commercial clients.
Manage claims, applying risk management principles.
FOIA reviews.
Oversee and administer insurance renewal and bond issuance processes.
Ensure compliance with government contracting requirements.
Conduct conflict of interest checks.
Lease administration.
Manage SAM.
gov registrations.
Handle corporate filings and records.
Identify and resolve legal and administrative issues, under supervision of the General Counsel.
Technical Proficiency:
Use Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
Engage in legal research using various tools and databases.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
Communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
Maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
Organizational Skills:
Efficiently manage and prioritize tasks.
Exhibit strong attention to detail.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or equivalent in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field.
Five to ten years of experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant, preferably in an engineering, corporate law, or government contracting context.
Registered or Certified Paralegal or equivalent experience indicating comprehensive knowledge of legal terminology and procedures.
Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
