GRADE 18 LOCATION OF POSITION Baltimore, Maryland Main Purpose of Job The main purpose of this position is to provide the management of sections.
Fiscal Administration, which includes fiscal budget analysis and purchasing.
Accounting Section, which includes budgetary FMIS/RSTARS funds, and various budgetary and revenue daily processing reports for the division and incoming mail.
Also, mailing and making sure interoffice and outgoing mail, divisional office supplies and printed documents are managed.
The position is also responsible for the day-to-day review and processing of Sales and Use Tax refunds and Unclaimed Property disbursement transmittals and the activities of the Division Data Security Officer.
The position will be responsible for the office renovations and control of the fixed assets of the division.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: Six (6) years of administrative staff or professional work.
NOTES: Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university for each year up to four years of the required experience.
Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and two years of experience in administrative staff or professional work for the required experience.
Candidates may substitute the possession of a Master's degree from an accredited college or university for the required experience.
Candidates may substitute U.
S.
Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work related to the administration of rules, regulations, policy, procedures and processes, or overseeing or coordinating unit operations or functioning as a staff assistant to a higher-ranking commissioned officer on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience in business and public administration, and interpreting departmental policies, laws, rules, regulations and procedures.
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle.
Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Please note: Administrative Staff experience differs from general administrative experience.
Administrative staff encompasses discretion and independent judgment directly related to policies, operations, or supervision of personnel.
A candidate with administrative staff experience will demonstrate the ability to identify the root cause of issues, develop alternative courses of action and implement new policies or procedures.
General administrative experience is routine support work that is often present in administrative assistant or other office roles.
