DAS is seeking a Technical Course Developer for Ft.
Meade, MD.
Job Summary: The Technical Course Developer will build the computers, virtual machines, networks, and services that will be used in our technical training courses.
They will be responsible for creating and maintaining courseware (e-learning training courses, presentations, student handouts, etc.
) and documentation for a variety of technical training classes provided by JCTE to its user base.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of technical concepts and be able to communicate complex information in a clear and concise way.
Responsibilities:
• Create and update training materials, student labs and lab guides, lesson plans, instructor guides, presentations, and handouts.
• Work with subject matter experts to gather and understand technical requirements, as well as build the networks detailed by the SMEs for each training course.
• Write clear and concise technical documentation that is easy to understand for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Organize relevant information and translate technical concepts into understandable content.
• Design and develop curriculum and learning pathway/flow chart.
• Use a variety of tools and technologies to create and deliver technical documentation.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest technical trends and best practices, and keep the course material up-to-date with that information.
Required Experience/Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in technical writing or technical communications.
• Experience in technical training
• Experience with using Markdown language a plus
• Strong understanding of technical concepts.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Proficiency in a variety of technical writing tools and technologies.
Preferred Experience/Qualifications:
• Top Secret clearance preferred.
Special Requirements/Security Clearance:
• Ability to obtain a security clearance.
• Occasional travel within the US is required; travel outside of the DC Metro Area up to one week is likely to be no more than 25% in a year, likely less.

Citizenship status with ability to obtain a SECRET to TOP SECRET security clearance.
Security Clearance requirements will be specified in the Government's Task Order.
