Job Description:
We invite applications for a tenure track assistant professor position in Computer Science or Data Science within the Department of Computer and Data Science, to begin in August 2024.
The Computer Science program offers a firm foundation in the discipline while supporting many options for students’ future career paths.
The Data Science program offers a foundational Data Science curriculum complemented with interdisciplinary learning paths.
Both programs support students who come to our classrooms with various backgrounds and goals.
The ideal candidate will have a terminal degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, or Applied Mathematics.
All candidates must be committed to excellence in teaching.
Candidates who have experience or interest in using active, inclusive teaching pedagogies will be preferred, as will candidates who can involve undergraduate students in their ongoing research programs.
We desire the ability of candidates who can contribute to both programs.
Teaching load consists of five four-credit courses per year.

Minimum Requirements:
A terminal degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, or Applied Mathematics
An interest in teaching Computer Science and Data Science courses at all levels of the curriculum
Preferred qualifications:
Experience or interest in using active, inclusive teaching pedagogies
Interest in involving undergraduate students in their research programs
Salary:
$72,220 - $80,224
