People with Opioid Use Disorder Needed for a Research Study on Sleep (Baltimore, MD)

The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine is seeking volunteers for a research study.
Individuals who are currently using heroin or fentanyl and would like to initiate buprenorphine treatment may be eligible.
This research study is evaluating if a sleep medication, Belsomra® (suvorexant), is effective in improving sleep and treatment outcomes in persons initiating buprenorphine maintenance.
You may be eligible if you are: between the ages of 18-65, have opioid use disorder, and are interested in starting buprenorphine treatment.
Participation requires a screening visit that last about 3 hours, a five-day stay in residential treatment, two follow-up visits, and completing daily questionnaires on a smart phone.
There is no charge for treatment or medications provided in this study.
Compensation up to $1130 will be provided.
