Research study participants needed! If you are 18-60 years of age and have quit smoking cigarettes, you could qualify for a research study at the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) in Baltimore, Maryland.
This study is looking at changes in brain activity in smokers interested in quitting during stages of nicotine abstinence throughout a course of nicotine treatment that includes weekly counseling.
This particular study involves an MRI scan and a blood draw.
Other activities may include answering
questionnaires, completing various thinking tasks inside and outside of the MRI, and abstaining from
caffeine and alcohol for 24 hours before the scan session.
Qualified participants will receive up to $230 in compensation.
