We are currently seeking a highly motivated Senior SPLUNK Systems Engineer to join our team in supporting a customer based in Fort Meade, MD.
As a Senior SPLUNK Systems Engineer, you will utilize your expertise in Linux with Scripting skills (Bash, Python), as well as your experience in Cloud/AWS administration, hardware/software engineering, configuration, and deployment.
Familiarity with Nifi is a plus.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Analyze system requirements and lead design and development activities.
Guide users in formulating requirements and provide advice on alternative approaches, conducting feasibility studies as necessary.
Provide technical leadership for integrating requirements, design, and technology.
Incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations.
Develop technical documentation, system architecture, and system design documentation.
Guide system development and implementation planning, including the preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.
Interact with the Government on Systems Engineering technical considerations and associated issues or conflicts.
Assume ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables in the Systems Engineering area.
Communicate effectively with program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
Basic Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
Fourteen (14) years of experience as a Systems Engineer
In Lieu of Degree nineteen (19) years, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
Minimum of two (2) years' experience in architecting, deploying, and administering SPLUNK.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with DevOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Nifi is desirable.
Security Clearance Requirements:
Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to remain stationary for 50% of the time.
Occasional movement within the office to access file cabinets and office machinery.
Regular use of computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
Frequent communication with co-workers, management, and customers, including delivering presentations.
Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
