Amentum is hiring a Cyber Security Engineer to support an Army program office at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.
** This position is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule and requires a minimum of 2 days of onsite work a week.
This is not a remote position.

You are a Cybersecurity Engineer knowledgeable in the implementation of Cyber Security requirements and processes.
You're also a very organized person, capable of working well independently and as part of a team to accomplish a mission.
Your focus on objectives and your knowledge of network and cyber security architecture requirements, certification plans, and accreditation processes ensures you have an organized and compliant approach to execute the Cyber Security requirements for Army tactical network and communications systems.
Responsibilities:
Use your knowledge with DoD network and cyber security standards to guide the development of Cybersecurity policy, engineering requirements, network and cyber security architecture, implementation plans, certification and accreditation for Army Tactical Network systems.
Follow Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements and DISA STIGs.
Utilize your understanding of application of FIPS 140-2 compliance and NIST framework principles to translate cyber security solutions, processes, configuration implementation, and application requirements.
Work with cyber security tools employed within DoD architectures, such as: ACAS Security Center and Nessus Scanner, varied Firewall and IDS/IPS technologies, Endpoint Security products, Security Incident and Event Management, and PKI.
Complete incident handling processes and analyze data from scans.
Implement and enforce security policies across the organization as well as install, test and evaluate cyber security products.
Interpret requirements for security products and design network and domain security architectures that meet DoD requirements.
Provide test plans and evaluation metrics for commercial cyber security products that meet with the limitations of DDIL networks.
Install, test, troubleshoot and evaluate cyber security products.
Minimum Requirements:
Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Cyber Security and 8 years of experience with DoD network engineering/management of which 4 years must be specific to cyber security.
Or a high school diploma with 10 years DoD network engineering/management experience of which 4 years or must be specific to cyber security.
Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance.
Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Secret Clearance.
The candidate must be familiar with DoD network and cyber security standards.
The candidate must have hands-on experience with the myriad of cyber security tools employed within DoD architectures, such as: varied Firewall and IDS/IPS technologies, Endpoint Security products, Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM), and PKI.
The candidate must have experience with scripting languages (Python, Java, Powershell, etc).
Must have good written and oral communications skills and the ability to produce documentation, briefing materials, and network diagrams in Power Point, Word, Excel and Visio.
DoD 8570 certifications for IAT Level III or IAM Level II.
Must be willing to travel up to 50%.
Preferred Qualifications:
DoD 8570/8140 Certification and Security+ Certification.
Experience with Ansible, Elastic (ELK) stack, Cisco ASA, Palo Alto Firewall/IPS/Panorama, Kafka, virtual machines, and containers.
In-depth knowledge of intelligence community cybersecurity requirements.
