The administrator will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with Army and C5ISR Chief Information Officer (CIO) requirements and enhancing the security of applications used in both sustaining base and tactical net-centric operational environments.
The role encompasses IA support, network defense, threat assessment, vulnerability analysis, system incident response, security testing, and Risk Management Framework (RMF) certification and accreditation activities.
Responsibilities: Provide IA expertise to support compliance with Army and C5ISR CIO requirements.
Analyze site communications requirements and recommend equipment solutions.
Identify innovative techniques to enhance application security in sustaining base and tactical net-centric operational environments.
Conduct threat assessments and analyze system vulnerabilities in hardware, software, and network components.
Respond to unauthorized system incidents and provide intrusion, virus security, and threat emulation support.
Support ongoing IT security analyses, security testing, and evaluations in accordance with relevant standards.
Provide IA personnel qualified in certification and accreditation, network security, security training, awareness, vulnerability assessments, technical integration, and multi-level security.
Document processes and outcomes in compliance with current RMF requirements and DoDI 8510.

Assist in obtaining and maintaining commercial and military certifications, accreditations, and authorizations related to software security, IA, and Computer Network Defense (CND).
Provide expertise in networking and IA activities, including hardware and software integration, verification and accreditation, and test and acceptance support.
Offer integration and testing support, including regression testing, validation/verification against established system requirements, and proving out engineering conclusions.
Assess and recommend telecommunications and Information Technology (IT) equipment to enhance SATCOM systems and assets.
Provide engineering support for application development, testing, and deployment using programming languages, web services, and database servers.
Assist in the implementation, maintenance, and updates of McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator HBSS and associated components, ensuring compliance with DoD certification and accreditation processes and standards.
Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or 8 years of additional relevant experience Minimum 5 years’ experience in design, development, testing and evaluation of computer-based systems and networks within a DoD lab environment to include making purchase recommendations for hardware, software and other system components for the lab.
Minimum 10 years’ experience with active directory, group policy creation, DHCP and DNS, Virtualization, Server/Workstation baseline OS image creation and deployment, and conducting HW/SW audits of servers, workstations, and other devices to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
Experience with DISA STIG/STIG Viewer/STIG Checklist Strong background in software security, Information Assurance (IA), and network defense engineering.
Familiarity with Army and C5ISR CIO requirements and standards.
Proficiency in threat assessment, vulnerability analysis, and security testing.
Experience in IA support, intrusion response, and threat emulation.
Knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF) and compliance with relevant regulations.
Expertise in networking and hardware/software integration, verification, and accreditation.
Certification and accreditation in IA and CND fields.
Skill in Local Area Networks and Wide Area Networks across multiple domains.
