Northrop Grumman is seeking an Engineer for their Parts and Components Engineering Group.
This position will be located at our Mission Systems Sector in Baltimore, MD.
The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Parts and Components Management Team within the Design Life-Cycle Engineering Department.
The selected candidate will work in a dynamic, customer-focused environment where he/she will interact with suppliers, internal and external customers and other design engineers.
Roles and Responsibilities Parts Control Engineer (PCE) Lead ensuring customer and derived application requirements are being managed.
Create Parts Management Plans (PMP) and validate new Programs PMPs.
New Part Request (CMR) approvals, and Component Drawing development as appropriate to meet program requirements.
Lead efforts to create/manage/execute, as appropriate: Program Part Selection Lists (PPSL) Bill of Material (BOM) analysis Destructive Physical Analysis (DPA) reports and Failure Analyses reports Manage the flow of new parts and documentation Provide the primary interface between each Commodity Specialist and Program Design Engineers.
Manage program DMS issues; Assist with DMS identification and notification.
Gate keeper for all components used on the program ensuring application authenticity, and traceability (Application Class).
Chair one of the Commodity Teams responsible for reviewing all components within the Commodity for production design use.
Will include Commercial, Industry and Military grade components.
Support failure analysis and problem resolution for any parts within the Commodity.
Utilize project management skills to manage multiple priorities; use cross-functional groups to meet part requirements and program deadlines.
Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 14 years of relevant professional experience, OR Master’s Degree in STEM with 12 years of relevant professional experience, OR PhD in STEM with 9 years of relevant professional experience Be able to obtain and maintain a U.

Government security clearance (DoD Secret Clearance or Higher) United States Citizen Previous leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities Excellent presentation and writing/communication skills Self-motivated and interested in working in a team environment Experience in developing and delivering presentations and leading small groups Preferred Qualifications Experience in working with electronic and mechanical components Experience in developing Electronic Part specifications, particularly using military or Industry requirements and specifications Experience with Siemen’s Team Center This position is contingent upon US CItizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance or higher.
Salary Range: $143,100 - $214,700 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
